Rhodes Old Town

The Old Town of Rhodes, otherwise known as the Medieval Town of Rhodes, is a historic landmark in Greece and Europe, protected by UNESCO. It is a living monument, since most of its parts are still inhabited by locals, even though they date back to the Middle Ages (14th – 16th centuries).

The town has preserved its character throughout the years, and manages to take its visitors into a unique travel back to time. Stroll around its stone-paved streets and alleys, admire the old buildings, and definitely pay a visit to the Palace of the Grand Master, which dominates the city’s skyline.

Scattered all around the old town you will find many places to shop and eat. However, before visiting the town, make sure to ask the people of Bellevue for their personalized recommendations, so as to avoid the crowded places and discover the ‘hidden gems’ that locals choose for their entertainment.

Useful tip: When visiting the Old Town, make sure to have a fully charged phone or camera — the opportunities for impromptu photo shootings will be endless!
